I can hardly believe that it’s ten years since I started Simply Caribbean, but perhaps that’s an indication of just how passionate I am about my business and my clients. However, I didn’t want this important milestone to go unmarked, so we’ve created this beautiful portfolio of some of our favourite destinations to share with you. As well as introducing you to the very best the Caribbean has to offer, we also want to tell you more about us. A bit like some of the properties in this brochure, Simply Caribbean is something of a hidden gem, based right here in the Sevenoaks area. Shortly after my husband and I moved with our young family to Kent, I was inspired to start my own business. After a career in the City, and following the birth of our fourth child, I wanted to channel my love of the Caribbean with my desire to help people. Having grown up surrounded by Caribbean culture (my mother is from St Lucia and I still have extensive family in the region), I hit upon the notion of becoming a Caribbean holiday specialist, offering a genuine difference in the level of service and knowledge I was able to provide. I understand the exacting demands of families, the need for business people to be able to truly unwind and recharge, the importance of the right accommodation and convenient flight times, a desire to immerse yourself in the culture of your destination, and the right mix of activities to keep everyone in your party happy. I make it a top priority to know every island and each resort inside out, forging personal links with managers, owners and service providers. I make regular trips to the region to make contacts, research new opportunities and build unbreakable bridges which enable my clients to get that little bit extra out of their holiday. Simply Caribbean’s ethos is to be your personal holiday curator, guiding you through the choices and then leaving you to get on with the packing while we take care of everything else. When time off work and downtime with your loved ones is such a rarity, and the financial outlay is perhaps your biggest annual expense, the stakes are high.  We aim to hit the jackpot for you every time. The fact that so many of our clients come back to us year after year means that we really are friends with many of them.  We know them so well that we instinctively understand what they want from their next holiday and can anticipate their needs and pre-empt their requests. The close relationships I have built up with my suppliers – whether hotels, resorts, villas, attractions or transfer companies – really benefits clients too, as I’ll often be able to secure exclusive offers or discounts which aren’t available to other travel consultants.
