Relax in style at the award-winning East Winds, St Lucia

East Winds is one of the top ten all-inclusive hotels in the world and it’s easy to see why.  This beautiful boutique property nestles in La Brelotte Bay in the Caribbean paradise of St Lucia, surrounded by verdant vegetation, fragrant flowers and captivating birdsong. The accommodation is welcoming and luxurious and the staff warm and friendly, so it comes as no surprise it has won a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award every year since 2008 and has an outstanding level of repeat guests.

Cute cottages and stunning sea views East WindsEast Winds is an intimate boutique hotel with a relatively small number of rooms, the majority of which are located in gorgeous little cottages dotted around the grounds. Each of the thirteen bijou houses is divided into two luxurious rooms and there is also a former colonial beach house which has been converted into delightful ocean view rooms. There is also a sumptuous mini suite available. Several rooms have interconnecting doors, making them ideal for families or groups of friends holidaying together. The Superior Cottages can be found in the lower gardens, close to the beach and freshwater swimming pool. Sleeping up to three adults or two adults and two children, they offer spacious accommodation with a shaded patio, walk-in shower and air conditioning throughout. The Deluxe cottages are right in the heart of the luscious gardens and have a range of upgraded amenities, including a bar on the patio, super kingsize beds, air conditioning and an outdoor shower (great for rinsing off the sand after a hard day on the beach!). Suitable for two adults and two children, they’re a great choice for families. The Ocean View rooms are all spacious doubles or twin rooms sleeping two adults. Air conditioned and each with a private deck, the same luxurious touches are found throughout, as well as a communal lounge. The Mini Suite, which sleeps up to two adults and a child, has a stunning sea view from its large decking area, which also features an outdoor shower. There is a separate sitting room too and the accommodation is luxurious throughout. Food for the senses East WindsEveryone who eats at East Winds comments on the fantastic food.  As one TripAdvisor reviewer wrote recently, “Just think of your favourite ever restaurant and imagine being able to eat there every night. 4 superb courses that change every night with excellent wines that also change nightly.” Ingredients are carefully sourced from local suppliers and the chef cleverly combines the best of the Caribbean with international cuisine to create a varied and delicious menu. From barbecues on the beach to private dining in a thatched gazebo overlooking the shore, there is a dining option to suit all tastes. As part of your all-inclusive holiday you can enjoy a wide range of drinks too, from fine Champagnes to fabulous cocktails. There’s a swim-up pool bar, a welcoming Clubhouse and the Sunset Bar to choose from, as well as service at your sunbed should you be needing a cooling drink as you tan! Enjoy the sound of the Steinway grand piano (said to be the only one in the Caribbean) as you soak up the relaxed vibe provided by talented musicians and performers. The entertainment here is low key, providing the perfect backdrop to your holiday without overpowering the dinner conversation. Activities and excursions For guests of an active disposition, there is no shortage of things to do at East Winds. Water sports abound, including sailing, diving, paddle-boarding and kayaking. The secluded, palm-fringed sandy beach is the ideal place for beginners to try their hand at a variety of water-based activities and expert tuition is available at the hotel, much of it included in the price of your holiday. There are complimentary yoga and Pilates sessions daily too and a fitness suite for those who enjoy a workout. Alternatively, take a gentle stroll around the property by joining one of the twice-weekly guided tours of the stunning gardens, breathing in the scents of tropical flowers as exotic birds flit from tree to tree. Excursions further afield can easily be arranged by the hotel staff too, so whether you want to explore the famous Piton mountains, visit the hot springs of the interior or check out the best shopping hotspots in St Lucia, just ask at reception and it will be organised effortlessly.  If you’re going on a day out they can even supply you with a delicious hamper for lunch! Is East Winds right for you? East Winds is a gorgeous boutique property which is particularly popular with couples.
