Offering the perfect hillside retreat, the accommodation at Windjammer Landings comprises of spacious and comfortable rooms, suites and villas all nestled on the lush tropical hillside. Tiled walkways wind their way throughout the resort, or you can jump onto a shuttle bus to make your way around, and the villas have space for large families or groups, as well as kitchens for that real home away from home feeling. All have terraces but for that extra something special why not opt for a private plunge pool or Jacuzzi.
Ocean View Rooms – Perfect for a romantic getaway, these rooms feature either a four-poster queen size or two twin beds and have partial ocean views. They sleep up to 2 people.
Premium Ocean View Rooms – These lovely rooms have a four-poster queen size bed with a ‘Romeo and Juliette’ style balcony and sundeck on the roof from which to admire the full ocean views. They sleep up to 2 people (+ cot).
Two Bedroom Ocean View – Comprised of adjoining Ocean View and Premium Ocean View Rooms. One bedroom has a four-poster queen size bed while the other features two twins or a queen size bed. They sleep up to 4 people (+ cot).
One Bedroom Villas – The beautiful one-bedroom villas are a great retreat for honeymooners and couples alike and feature an air-conditioned bedroom with king size bed, fans throughout, open living and dining rooms and a full kitchen. There is also a lovely sun deck with ocean views. They sleep up to 2 people (+ 2 children on the sofa bed). There is also a One Bedroom Villa with plunge pool available during the low season which sleeps up to 2 people.
Two & Three Bedroom Villas with Plunge Pool – These larger villas are great for groups of adults with plenty of space to entertain and have fun as well as to unwind after a long day. The master bedroom features a king size bed while additional bedrooms have a queen size or two twin beds. All bedrooms have air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, ocean views and a sun terrace. The two-bedroom villa sleeps up to 4 people while the three-bedroom villa sleeps up to 6 people.
Four Bedroom Villa with Private Plunge Pool – Lavish and sprawling, these spacious villas are perfect for larger families and groups. The views go on forever and the interior space is ideal for spending time together and relaxing in comfort. There is a master bedroom with king size bed and 3 additional bedrooms (one with a queen size and two with twin beds). All bedrooms are air-conditioned and en-suites. There is a large fully-equipped kitchen, plunge pool and spacious outdoor decking area too. These sleep up to 8 people.
Estate Villas – The sumptuous three and four-bedroom Estate Villas all benefit from large swimming pools, allocated parking and terraces with stunning views. The interiors are unique in design; bedrooms all have their own en-suite and air-conditioning. A chef is also on hand to prepare and cook your meals should you wish. These are the ultimate in refined luxury and perfect for enjoying the delights of the island with everyone. The three-bedroom estate villas sleep up to 6 people while the four-bedroom estate villas sleep up to 8 people.
Windjammer Landing has five restaurants and two bars, serving up a wide and varied selection of sumptuous dishes from the island and beyond. The bars play host to tropical cocktails, wines, soft drinks and spirits to cool you down during the day and help you party into the night.
Dragonfly – The food of the Caribbean has undergone a massive transformation over the years, starting with simple ingredients enhanced by herbs and spices from Africa and Europe, as well as Asian flavours brought in from China and India. An exciting cuisine is born that is both flavourful and spicy to suit your preference. A number of healthy options are also available including an abundance of seasonal fruit and vegetables. Dragonfly is open for dinner (6:30pm – 10:00pm) and hosts two themed nights a week – Caribbean Night on Tuesday and Barbeque Night on Friday. Reservations are required.
Papa Don’s Taverna – Perched on the hillside, this intimate Italian-style Taverna offers fantastic views out over the Caribbean and a delicious menu to match its surroundings. Famous for its pasta and pizza, its menu now includes favourites from Greece and its signature dish from Morocco – Roasted Dorado served with a lime-honey-yoghurt sauce, pomegranate syrup and couscous. Papa Don’s is open nightly for dinner.
Jammers – Right on the beach, this beach bar and grill features all-day dining in a casual environment. Perfect for beachgoers to walk in and enjoy a few beers in the shade, or sample some of the exquisite island-inspired dishes such as the signature Shrimp Creole, burgers, wraps and salads all made with fresh ingredients. As the sun goes down the bar comes alive with calypso, reggae or steel drum music as the cocktails flow freely, with an extensive and imaginative menu to select from. Amongst the most popular drink is the 14×61, a frozen blend named for the latitude and longitude of St Lucia and made with Bounty Crystal white rum.
Embers – Another great beachfront restaurant, Embers specialises in fresh barbeque and grilled favourites all set in a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Its signature JA wrap comprises of shredded jerk style chicken, rice, peas and vegetables, all wrapped in a warm roti flatbread. Every Sunday, Embers plays host to a great brunch buffet for all to enjoy, and steps away is the great Toppers Ice Cream Shack where you can grab an ice cream, smoothie or delicious sorbets – these are complimentary for those on the all-inclusive plan.
Upper Deck – A truly romantic setting, the Upper Deck plays host to a mouth-watering array of steak and seafood dishes. Set out across several levels, the restaurant is a firm favourite for guests seeking something a little bit special, with a range of preparation methods, sauces and side dishes to suit any taste. Open for dinner only (6:30pm – 10:00pm) and closed Tuesdays and Fridays. Reservations are required.
In Villa Dining – For something extra special you can even have one of the skilled chefs cook up a storm in the privacy of your villa or suite
Things to Do
There is an endless supply of fun and excitement at Windjammer Landings, with 1,500 feet of white sandy beach as well as 5 swimming pools to enjoy (including two for kids), a huge array of water sports as well as a fitness centre, tennis courts and golf nearby. You can even indulge in an excursion around the island to see what St Lucia really has to offer you.
Complimentary water sports include windsurfing, hobie cat sailing, kayaking and snorkelling. For a local fee there is also the chance to try knee-boarding, waterskiing, wakeboarding and scuba diving too.
If tennis is your game there are two floodlit Astroturf courts at Windjammer Landings, allowing those heated matches to continue into the evening. The resident tennis pro David D’Auvergne is also on hand to give you some pointers and a bit of practice before you play off against your mates.
The onsite fitness club features air-conditioning and stunning views out over the Caribbean to inspire your workout. There is a full range of equipment available for use as well as complimentary circuit and weight-training classes. Personal Trainers are also available. A number of on-site fitness activities also run at the hotel including aquacise, pool volleyball, hikes, water polo, dance aerobics and tone & stretch classes.
The Serenity Spa is a place for pure relaxation nestled into the hillside overlooking the resort. Uniquely designed, there is a private pool area with Jacuzzi and a lovely outdoor shower. Massages and select treatments are available both on the beach and in their villa. There is also a eucalyptus steam room, treatment room and wet room, with treatments utilising aromatherapy and Phytomer skincare products.
Windjammer Landing is proud to offer a huge range of fun, games and activities for the younger guests, where they are given as much priority as the adults are. With kids and teen’s clubs, 2 dedicated swimming pools and a great babysitting/nanny service available, there is plenty to keep them happy while mum and dad have some much needed time to themselves, safe in the knowledge that their children are well supervised, having fun and making some great new friends too.
The Jacquot Fun Club offers a great program for children aged 4-12 years, with both educational and entertaining activities, allowing the grown ups to spend a few hours sunbathing, having a romantic dinner or going off on one of the exciting tours. There are even themed nights for the kids to enjoy with pyjama parties, pirate evenings and movie nights. The hours are 10:00am – 4:00pm and 6:30pm – 10:00pm daily.
For teens there is a great range of things to do too, from exploring the well-equipped games room with table tennis and billiards, to sampling some of the great land and water sports at the resort. There is even the chance to enjoy themed nights and supervised tours and excursions, so the smiles don’t stop even when the sun goes down.
