This three-storey villa is situated on a hilltop with glorious 270 degree views out over the Atlantic and Caribbean. Right at the northern tip of the island, the views also encompass Pigeon Island National Park and beyond to Martinique and the soaring Mount Gimie.
Wild Orchid offers guests the sights and sounds of paradise, with tropical birds, the sound of the ocean and the sights of cruise ships, fishing boats, sunsets and the island lights come dusk.
The main house is designed and built with the trade winds in mind, and makes full use of their cooling effects throughout the property, with an open design and elements of traditional Caribbean styling. Bedrooms have fans, netting and air conditioning for your comfort.
Wild Orchid is located a short distance from Rodney Bay and Reduit Beach, with its array of shops, dining and bars. Excellent shopping can be had here or you can indulge in fine dining. Within a 10 minute drive you can also find yourself at one of several stunning beaches or teeing off at the 18-hole championship golf course.
Within walking distance is the Le Sport Resort and Body Holiday Spa, where you can make use of the excellent spa facilities, or go snorkelling. You can purchase whole or half day purchases.
Note the property does not accept parties with children under 12. A refundable cash deposit is required on arrival. Although the villa is designed to sleep 10, it can accommodate up to 12.
The first floor has two bedrooms, both of which have lovely views out over the sea and the pool. The end room has a king size bed and a day bed that can sleep an additional two people. The second bedroom also has a king size bed. Both rooms have en-suite with shower.
The master bedroom is on the second floor and is spacious and comfortable, beautifully furnished and has a king size bed. Its unique shower room overlooks the mountains, and there are two balconies providing views over the southwest coast and beaches, and ocean views with Martinique in the distance.
There is also a fully-equipped apartment that has 2 bedrooms. Accessed by a side entrance, it is only available when renting the main house. Bedrooms have a king size bed, with one offering views over the sea and pool and the other looking out onto the gardens. They share a bathroom with double sink units. The included kitchen and living room overlooks a terrace opening out onto gardens, ideal for your morning coffee. The bedrooms and living room are air conditioned.
A covered veranda runs along the length of the house is furnished with seating and an outside dining area. The large heated swimming pool is circled by a tiled decking and has dining table, loungers and umbrellas providing welcome shade.
Inside there is a vaulted ‘great room’ with a modern entertainment centre. The formal dining room lies adjacent, with a modern kitchen adjacent along with an outdoor covered BBQ area. All together you have a wide range of eating and dining options and you can enjoy your meals at your leisure.
The gardens around the villa are immaculately maintained and landscaped, offering a wide variety of flowers and mature trees which are a haven for birds and butterflies. The gardener/groundskeeper Mr Clovis/Dragon will be more than happy to familiarise you with the plants and birdlife.
The staff includes a housekeeper/cook working Monday to Saturday 8.30am – 3.30pm, the general maintenance/gardener Mr Clovis/Dragon will be there to greet you on arrival and show you around the property.
We can provide you with start-up groceries and bar supplies to be paid for on arrival, and we can even have your first night’s meal waiting for you.
Please note that our housekeepers are not trained nannies and should not be expected to look after and/or babysit infants and children. If you do make babysitting arrangements with the staff, please be advised this is at your own risk.
