Overview

Now an all-inclusive resort offering excellent value for money.

Young Island appeals to discerning guests, seeking a true Caribbean retreat with a rustic yet comfortable style of accommodation and friendly Caribbean service. The location of the resort, on its own private island has to be one of its best assets. A ‘Robinson Crusoe’ setting, but one that is not too remote and has easy access to the outside world.With other Grenadine islands within easy reach of the resort, there are lots of choices for ‘perfectpartners’ island-hopping holidays. The weekly packages offer tremendous value for money – includingmeals, entertainment, watersports and the wonderful sailaway option for guests of a 2 or 3 night yacht charter during their stay.

Vincentian Chef Christopher John, along with his team, creates fabulous mouth-watering dishes incorporating lots of local ingredients. The resort has recently won regional culinary awards alongside other top Grenadine resorts. The resort is also famous for serving 6 delicious homemade breads at every meal including banana, cinnamon and raisin. Fresh island produce, grown in the natural volcanic soils of St Vincent, is delivered daily to the hotel. Natural yogurt, locally produced, is available at breakfast with unusual flavours such as fresh root ginger.

Why St Vincent and the Grenadines St.

Vincent & the Grenadines is a nation of 32 islands located in the Lesser Antilles between St. Lucia (24 miles to the north) and Grenada (75 miles to the south). St Vincent and the Grenadines evokes an emotive response with visions of exotic, idyllic island life. St Vincent is the largest Grenadine island and home to the capital, Kingstown. This lively town is a throwback to colonial times with cobblestone streets and locals rushing about. The lush green, rainforested interior has some great hiking and natural walk options.

Sailaway

Guests opting for one of the Sailaway Packages enjoy a few nights exploring the Grenadines on board one of the hotel’s yachts (44ft or 50ft), with a captain and a cook to prepare meals on board. 

Each yacht sleeps one or two couples and crew. The yacht usually departs the resort late morning and returns at the end of the sail by mid morning. A 2-night sail includes the islands of Bequia and 

Mustique, 3 nights will also visit the Tobago Cays if the weather is perfect. Sailaways anchor for the night with optional sightseeing and snorkelling at each stop.

Superior

King size bed – (19)  – some are located on the lower hillside while others are on the beach side.

Note: Not all rooms step directly on to the beach, although they have a view of the water.

Room numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24.

Inter-connecting rooms: 1 & 2, 7 & 8, 23 & 24 connect on one level.

Extra beds: only available as follows:

Cottage 22 has an alcove with 2 extra single beds.

Cottage 18 has a sitting area with 2 extra beds.

Cottages 23 and 24 have a connecting alcove, which can accommodate 2 extra beds.

Maximum occupancy: 2 adults (or 2 adults 2 children or 3 adults in 18, 22, 23 or 24).

Deluxe

1 king size – (4)

Three of these cottages are on the middle hillside, the other is on the beach. In addition to the features in the superior, they have a sitting area within the bedroom and a large terrace plus kettle and/or coffeemaker.

Room numbers: 9 (on the beach), 17, 25, 27.

Inter-connecting rooms: 9 & 10 (a deluxe and luxury beach with plunge pool).

Maximum occupancy: 2 adults.

Luxury with plunge pool

King size bed.

Located on the beach or the hillside and in addition to the features in the other room categories they have a private plunge pool as well as a separate sitting area, CD players, large terrace and private gazebo. Luxury hillside suites include telephones.

Room numbers: 6 & 10 (beachside), 28, 29 & 30 (hillside).

Connecting rooms: 10 & 9 (a luxury beach with plunge pool plus a deluxe).

Maximum occupancy: 3 adults.

Duvernette Suite

A two bedroom suite located on the hilltop set in its own garden and in addition to the features in the other room categories this suite has a spacious sitting room, kitchen, split level terrace with a small swimming pool and views across the ocean.

Maximum occupancy: 2 adults and 2 children.

Young Island is an All Inclusive Private Island Resort. Below is the list of inclusions 

Round trip airport transfers from St Vincent airport by road and Young Island’s ferry

Welcome drink on arrival

Full breakfast, lunch and dinner daily

All beverages including mixed drinks, beers and house wine by the glass during 

bar/restaurant hours (excludes bottled wines, champagnes and brand liquors)

Fresh fruit and flowers in room daily

Use of sunfish, snorkels, windsurfers, kayaks, pedaloes, day and night time tennis 

Simple laundry (no ironing)

Meals are served al fresco style in the gazebos close to the beach.

Breakfast: 7.00am to 10:00am

Lunch: 12.30pm to 2.30pm  – à la carte 5 days a week. Barbecue buffet style lunch on Tuesday and 

local curry buffet lunch on Sunday.

Dinner: 7.00pm to 10.00pm  – 4-course meal is served five nights a week. Local buffet dinner on 

Wednesday and barbecue and buffet dinner on Saturday. Subject to change without prior notice.

Spa

Spa Kalina – a mini-spa which sits amongst the tropical foliage on the hillside of Young Island, and offers a selection of pamperings including massages, Indian head massage, manicures, pedicures, reflexology, facials, waxing and aromatherapy. Massage treatments start at approximately US $90 for an hour, and various packages are also available.

 

Their line of products from Earth Mother Botanicals, are made from natural ingredients including cane sugar and sea salt body scrubs, ylang ylang hydrating cream, vanilla bean body lotion, guava seed foot scrub and mint cool foot lotion. Young Island’s excellent therapist is from St Vincent with extensive experience.
