Stonefield Estate Villa Resort And Spa

Stonefields Estate Villa Resort St Lucia, is based in a beautiful area surrounding The Pitons. 

The villas at Stonefield Estate Villa Resort are beautiful appointed, airy and bright, accented with allusions to French colonial style including wide open verandas, attractive jalousie shutters and antique four posters beds. Each villa is self-contained and commands vistas of the awe-inspiring Petit Piton. All villas have secluded pools with loungers and hammocks.

All villas are equipped with a secure locking safe, ironing board and iron, telephone, radio and CD player and hammocks. At Stonefield Estate Villa Resort we try to facilitate complete relaxation and as such there are no televisions. Guests have access to free internet connection in all common areas. Villas come with four poster beds, ensuite bathrooms and many with outdoor garden showers.

The property is set within a 27 acre plantation with an abundance of beautiful foliage, flowers, palm and fruit trees. The fresh produce from the plantation is used in cocktails at the bar and in the menus at the restaurant- creating mouth watering and fresh cuisine. The plantation has a nature trail which features original Petroglyphs from Arawak Indians, the first settlers to the area. 

Stonefields is the most romantic hideaway, which is perfect for honeymooners, weddings and those special anniversaries, with free weddings and special surprises for your holiday/honeymoon.

Dining

Mango Tree Restaurant at Stonefields, like the resort itself is tropically elegant. The al fresco dining pavilion looks out over a small river stone pool and takes in the magnificent Petit Piton and views of the Caribbean Sea.   

The chef and his culinary team use all fresh local market ingredients and build on Mrs. Brown’s home cooking recipes to make the freshest, most delicious St Lucian flare. All herbs and vegetables grown on property are organic and the former plantation still yields the seasonal citrus, mango and breadfruit which are incorporated into the daily menus.

The Mango Tree Restaurant features a special vegan menu, as well as a children’s menu. And to stir it up true Caribbean style, The Mango Tree presents a rotating dinner theme menu featuring the popular Barbecue Thursdays, a charming Creole evening with a live local shak shak band and the best baby back ribs and jerk bake on the west coast.  The Saturday Market Affair serves up the best of what has been freshly procured at the nearby Soufriere market with live entertainment from local musicians.  

Whether you dine under a full moon with Petit Piton cast in shadow, under the starriest of nights, or witness passing ships alight, The Mango Tree Restaurants brings diners the perfect marriage of location and gourmet Creole.

The Mango Tree is open for breakfast from 7.30 am until 11am and is open for lunch and dinner until 10 pm.

Plantation House, the large signature villa on property features a full kitchen and the option for an in house chef for your stay.

Excursions
There is no shortage of activities for the guests who might want to stir from their plantation chairs or hammocks on the airy verandas of Stonefield Estate’s villas.  Jalousie Beach, the most coveted stretch of sand on the island is minutes away.  Soufriere itself offers much in the way of sightseeing and activities; in fact many visitors to the island based in the north make it a first stop on their itinerary. From rainforest hikes to coral reef dives, waterfall excursions, botanical garden tours and hot sulphur baths, there really is much to see and do.   

Nightlife
Soufriere and its inhabitants are known as laid-back people who know how to truly unwind and as such the pace of the nightlife takes on the rhythm of the surrounding countryside.  There are an array of bars and restaurants to choose from and Stonefield’s own The Mango Tree draws a following for sundowners at Happy Hour, live music and excellent food.  For those wishing to go further a field, ferry services abound to take you up to Marigot Bay, Castries or Rodney Bay the hip and happening entertainment district of the island.

Beaches
Stonefield Estate Villa Resorts operates a shuttle service to arguably two of the nicest beaches on the island, Jalousie Beach and Malgretoute Bay.  Snorkelling prospects are excellent, photographic moments in abundance. With looming Piton views and crystalline Caribbean Sea waters gently lapping quiet, palm-fringed shores, guests wanting to get their feet wet need look no further.

Shopping
The local craft trade is thriving in the town of Soufriere and there are several small boutiques and roadside vendors from whom the perfect souvenir can be purchased, whether it is local jewellery, batik fabric, carvings and paintings by local artists or postcards.  For duty free shopping, Marigot Bay, Pointe Seraphine and Place Carenage in Castries have excellent selections.  Water and land taxi services to these northern hubs are easy enough to organise through the resort.
