A tropical retreat like none other. With a stunning mountain location at the height of the Piton Mitan range, Ladera is a luxurious resort and boasts fantastic views of the Pitons, a UNESCO world heritage site. Combining charming island architecture and design with a lavish spa, infinity swimming pool and some of the best natural sites and sounds on your doorstep, this is a great place to spend your St Lucian holiday. All basked in the warm Caribbean sunshine.
With just 32 villas and suites scattered around lovely tropical gardens and vegetation, and private plunge pools for your convenience, this resort isn’t just for those wanting to relax and do nothing. It has great opportunities for the active traveller, with the chance to climb Petit Piton, visit the world’s only ‘drive through’ volcano, scuba diving in the azure blue waters and rainforest hikes. There really is something for everyone here, and shuttles buses are available to nearby beaches and the nearby port town of Soufriere for the Saturday morning markets and a dose of local culture.
The open-air setting at the resort’s Dasheene restaurant is a great place to sample real Caribbean cooking, and the head chef has created a wonderful menu created from local produce and fish. With stunning views out over the jungle and the Pitons beyond, it is a truly wonderful place to start your day and finish your evening.
With such untamed luxury and views to die for, there really is no reason why Ladera isn’t at the top of your list!
