St Lucia - Hotel Chocolat

Overview

There are almost too many Saint Lucian attractions to mention in and around The Hotel Chocolat. By day relax on the estate, have a dip in the pool or chill out on your sun lounger at the exclusive Club Boucan. With 140 lush acres to explore there’s lots to do – strolling under the cocoa groves, taking part in the cocoa harvest, picking and tasting sun-warmed fruit from the papaya, mango and guava estate trees, trail hikes and nature watching. The beach is a short drive away with swimming, diving, sailing and kayaking on a classic Caribbean sandy beach.

By Night, the hotel’s Boucan Restaurant and Bar is the coolest place in Saint Lucia for a sundowner. The majestic Petit Piton is effectively ‘back lit’ by the setting sun, heightened by a unique soundtrack of atmospheric music. The drinks menu specialises in Bellinis made with fresh mangoes from the estate, Mojitos made with local Saint Lucian Rum and limes, the ‘British West Indies’ Rum Punch or the French ‘Ti Rum Punch’ from across the sea in Martinique. Naturally, there is an exciting wine cellar and a collection of rare vintage rums to explore.

Rooms

The resort offers two types of accommodation, which both feature iPod docks, tea and coffee making facilities and Concierge Cabinets.

Cocoa Pods: Located in a courtyard setting centred around an old Royal Poincianas tree. Pods have views of the Petit Piton mountain and are 450 square feet. The rooms include a US Queen size four poster bed and Open sky rainforest shower.

Cocoa Pods Luxe: Are located in an elevated position with an open verandah that displays dramatic views of both Piton mountains and the Caribbean Sea. These pods are 750 square feet with a US King size poster bed and an open sky rainforest shower. 

Resturants & Bars

Boucan Restaurant - This exclusive menu uses cocoa sometimes as a light and subtle spice, sometimes as a delicate infusion, but always in a natural, healthy and exciting harmony. The resturant explores the sweet and savoury nature of cocoa, together with the superb local produce found on Saint Lucia – from the huge array of fresh fish and seafood, to delicate salad leaves, vegetables and plentiful fruit grown on the estate.

Cocoa Juvenate - Offers an exclusive range of wellness therapies. The cacao bean is packed with antioxidants and vital minerals and this bean is used in all lotions and potions, which are freshly made on the estate. Massages are carried out in your room on portable massage tables
